Elisa is a woman that went through a lot in her life. Good and bad things. When she was diagnosed with a rare lymphoma, time seemed to have stopped. She is the mother of two kids, one of them being 7 years old. Starting the treatment, the main focus was the cure. But after a while, she realised she had to make peace with the fact her self-image, her body and her perception of beauty were different. That is when she asked me, her niece, to spend an afternoon at her house taking photos and making the steps of chemo a bit lighter.

The photos were taken in 2015.
Today, in 2024, Elisa is cured, in remission, after two bone marrow transplants.
